Arsenal back in for Higuain

Arsenal are set to reignited their interest in Napoli striker Gonzalo Higuain when the transfer window reopens, the Daily Star understands.

The Argentina has been frustrated with the Serie A club ever since they failed to qualify for the Champions League, and will considering his options in January.

The Gunners brought in Danny Welbeck in the summer, but are keen on bringing in more firepower with Olivier Giroud and Theo Walcott still to come back from injury.

Higuain, who has been constantly linked with a move to North London in recent seasons, moved to Naples in the summer of 2013 and has gone on to score twenty-seven goals in fifty-five appearances for the club.

Prior to his move to Italy, he spent six-and-a-half seasons with Real Madrid having begun his career in his native Argentina with River Plate while internationally he has been capped forty-five times, scoring twenty-four goals.
