Arsenal eyeing Chile star

Brazilian media outlet Zero Hora is reporting that Arsenal are showing interest in Internacional midfielder Charles Aranguiz.

The Gunners manager Arsene Wenger has been impressed with the midfielder’s performances for Chile at the 2014 World Cup and he has been following his performances ever since.

The Professor could make his interest concrete in the summer transfer window, with the 25-year-old reportedly valued at mere £5.5 million.

Charles Aranguiz may not be a household name in Europe, but he is widely regarded as one of South America’s leading footballers and it is only a matter of time before he joins a top European club.

The Chile international has scored 9 goals in 36 league matches since arriving at Internacional, quickly becoming an indispensable member of the side.

Aranguiz has so far earned 30 Chile caps and started all four matches for La Roja at the 2014 World Cup finals, getting on the scoresheet in the 2-0 triumph over Spain.
