Arsenal keeping tabs on Rabiot

Arsenal are still very much interested in signing Adrien Rabiot from Paris Saint-Germain, according to the Mirror.

The 23-year-old’s contract with the Ligue 1 champions expires in the summer, meaning he will be able to leave as a free agent, and all negotiations over a new deal have been abandoned.

He has been linked with a number of clubs. Reports went as far as suggesting there were talks between the midfielder and Barcelona over personal terms, but nothing has been agreed yet, and the Catalan giants have since completed the signing of Frenkie de Jong from Ajax who will join them in the summer. He has refused the advances of Tottenham Hotspur and has also been mentioned as a possible target for Premier League leaders Liverpool.

However, at Arsenal they believe they might have an edge over the competition for his services. Rabiot worked with manager Unai Emery during the Spaniard’s time with PSG, and that would perhaps be a factor of influence in the French international’s decision.
