Arsenal won’t replace Bellerin

According to a report from Sky Sports, Arsenal aren’t likely to bring in any kind of replacement for Hector Bellerin in the January transfer window. Bellerin could well miss the remainder of the season courtesy of the knee injury that he suffered against Chlsea at the weekend, with the fear being that there is some ACL damage involved. Bellerin has often been viewed as a controversial yet highly talented figure within Arsenal’s first team, but his injury has really hit their plans for the season hard.

The two players who would likely come into the right back position are Stephen Lichtsteiner and Ainsley Maitland-Niles, both of whom aren’t considered to be first team prospects.

Even with all of that knowledge, it seems as if the Gunners are going to stick instead of twisting, and it’s interesting to see that they’re willing to take that gamble despite the fact they could probably bring in a capable full back on loan until the end of the season.
