Atletico close in on Diego, Toulalan

Spanish daily Marca has suggested that Atletico Madrid are on the verge of signing Diego Ribas and Jeremy Toulalan.

Los Colchoneros have already done some business after the season ended, selling Radamel Falcao and signing Leo Baptistao, but that is just for starters.

According to Marca, highly rated midfielders Diego Ribas and Jeremy Toulalan are set to arrive at Vicente Calderon.

The same source understands that Atletico officials have reached an agreement with both players, but they have yet to strike terms with their respective clubs.

Nonetheless, with both footballers eager to join los Colchoneros, it is only a matter of time before the two deals will be made official.

Diego Ribas has largely impressed while on loan at Atletico from Wolfsburg and the La Liga outfit have since been trying to sign him on permanent transfer.

Meanwhile, Jeremy Toulalan is hoping to leave Malaga after two years at the club and he is tempted by the prospect of joining high-flying Atletico.
