Atletico Madrid are keen on signing Paris Saint-Germain’s Edinson Cavani, according to France Football. There have been reports claiming the Madrid side would try and make it happen in January, but they’ve now decided to postpone their efforts until the summer.
Certain steps have, however, already been taken, while the Uruguay international apparently craves a fresh challenge and is keen on playing under Diego Simeone. The price that has been quoted for his services that the French champions would accept is €50million.
It may be worth remembering that similar stories have been told many times when it comes to Cavani. Most of them were based on the narrative that the 31-year-old is unhappy about being in the ‘shadow’ of of his partners in attack Neymar and Kylian Mbappe ever since the pair of them arrived to the French capital in the summer of 2017, but no move has happened as of yet.
