Barca don´t bother us, says Diarra

Real Madrid midfielder Lassana Diarra said his side are focussed on themselves, not Barcelona, in the La Liga run-in this season.

The Catalans are trailing Madrid by eight points in the league table following this weekend’s results, but Diarra has made it clear that Jose Mourinho’s side are not too worried about their rivals as they are in control of their own destiny.

“We are not thinking about Barcelona. We are only thinking about ourselves, because we know that we have everything in our own hands. We will win the league title if we keep winning our games. That’s a fact,” Diarra told AS.

“It’s normal that we were disappointed with the draw against Malaga. We want to be crowned champions as soon as possible. Dropping points at home is never a good thing, but it’s not the end of the world. We are still the leaders.”

Real Madrid next face Villarreal in La Liga on Wednesday.
