Barcelona are ready to go in for Lille’s Nicolas Pepe, according to various sources.
A number of clubs have been reported to have registered an interest in the winger, including Manchester United, Arsenal, Bayern Munich, Sevilla and Real Betis.
Apparently, Lille president Gerard Lopez spoke to RMC Sport and revealed that these clubs had contacted Lille to express their respective interests and to inquire about potential steps they would need to take in order to contend for the player’s signature in January. However, he also expressed his own hopes that the 23-year-old would opt to stay with the club at least until the end of the season.
Barca have already sent scouts to Lille’s games several times this season and they have proven a number of times that they don’t lightly give up on their transfer targets, but it seems Pepe is set become a subject of a bidding war come January.
