Spanish newspaper El Mundo Deportivo understands that Barcelona are not giving up on Liverpool footballers Pepe Reina and Daniel Agger.
The Catalans’ efforts to sign the duo in the summer transfer window proved unsuccessful, but they are already planning a new assault.
Having signed Simon Mignolet from Sunderland, there is every chance Liverpool will be looking to cash in on Reina when his loan deal at Napoli ends next summer.
With Victor Valdes set to depart in a year’s time, Barcelona still has their former player as the number one name on the list of possible replacements.
Meanwhile, the Catalans are also expected to reignite their interest in Daniel Agger, having learned that they would not be able to recruit Thiago Silva or David Luiz.
Liverpool have signed no less than three central defenders in the summer transfer window, Kolo Toure, Mamadou Sakho and Tiago Ilori, which is enough to suggest they will consider selling the Dane at the end of the current campaign.
