With a real opportunity to make yet another statement in this years UEFA Nations League, Belgium will welcome Iceland to the Stade Roi Baudouin on Thursday.

Starting with Roberto Martinez’s side, with many believing this will be the last chance for Belgium’s golden generation to win a piece of silverware, the former Everton boss will be desperate to enter Euro 2020 with a squad filled with confidence. Winning both of their opening matches in this years tournament, the Red Devils are yet to be beaten on home soil in the past 30 months. Also beating Iceland 3-0 in the reverse fixture back in September, one man to watch will be Manchester United forward Romelu Lukaku has five in his last four matches on international duty.

As for the visitors, after failing to win a single match at the World Cup, things could not be going any worse for new Iceland boss Heimir Hallgrímsson. Shipping 11 goals already this tournament and also still looking for their first point, the Blues have yet to win any of their 11 matches in 2018. Now conceding eight goals in their last two matches on the road, it is incredibly hard to see anything other than yet another convincing win for the hosts on Thursday night. With the worst defensive record of any side in the Nations League top-tier, they have not recorded a clean sheet since November 2017.
