Competition: MLS

Market: Los Angeles FC win

Odds: 17/10 @ 888sport

Looking to extend on what has been a real purple patch, Los Angeles will make the trip to Dick’s Sporting Goods Park on Saturday night when they meet Colorado.

Starting with the hosts, while Colorado might have shocked many across the MLS as they claimed the Western Conference last season, the Rapids have largely failed to build off of that momentum. Last seen putting in another downbeat display as they were hit with a 2-1 loss away at Minnesota earlier in the week, Head Coach Robin Fraser now finds his side sat outside the Final Series places. Coming off the back of back-to-back defeats over the past week, there is no doubt that Colorado face a stern test on Saturday night. Despite picking up a much-needed 2-0 victory against Portland on April 30th, it appears that was just a minor boost for Fraser’s squad. In fact, that win at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park a fortnight ago is the only MLS victory that they have recorded from their previous eight attempts.

As for the visitors, putting in another impressive display earlier in the week as they picked up a deserved 2-0 win against Portland, Los Angeles are in the midst of a real purple patch. Making a string of improvements since opening the 2022 campaign, Head Coach Steve Cherundolo finds his side enjoying a six-match domestic unbeaten run. Likewise, winning five of those six contests and smelling a golden chance on Saturday night, LAFC have also continued to shine with their recent displays in the final third. Bagging 18 goals on their six-match unbeaten run, the Blacks should also be boosted by their rampant last meeting against Colorado. Storming their way to a thumping 3-0 victory when the two sides faced off in California on February 26th, a similar away win can be found at very attractive odds here.

Bet: Los Angeles FC 17/10 to beat Colorado Rapids in Saturday’s MLS battle @ 888sport
