Competition: Spanish Segunda

Market: Under 2.5 goals

Odds: 3/5 @ 888sport

Two sides who will be desperate to pick up an early advantage on Saturday night, Girona will welcome Tenerife to the Estadi Montilivi for their play-off final first-leg.

Starting with the hosts, managing to edge their way past Eibar last weekend thanks to what was a nail-biting affair, Girona will be looking to build off of those positives. Eventually claiming an extra-time winner as they secured a hard-fought 2-1 aggregate victory on the road, the Blanquivermells are seeking one final charge. However, signing off their regular-season run with a 0-0 stalemate against Burgos, Head Coach Míchel has seen his side win just a pair of their last six matchups against second-tier opposition. Likewise, along with failing to bag more than a single strike in any of their previous eight contests within 90 minutes, Girona have gained a reputation for their low-scoring contests. It should be highlighted, Saturday’s hosts have seen six of their last seven showdowns finish with under 2.5 goals.

As for the visitors, managing to put in an eye-catching display as they picked up a 3-1 aggregate victory against Las Palmas last weekend, Tenerife do appear to have put their May struggles behind them. Signing off their regular-season run with three straight defeats, including back-to-back 2-0 loss against Eibar and Malaga, Head Coach Luis Miguel Ramis will be boosted by his side’s impressive record against their play-off final rivals. Including a 1-0 win when the two sides faced off on May 9th, it should be noted that Tenerife have won four of their last five showdowns against Girona, a run that stems back to 2019. Likewise, with Saturday’s guests seeing six of their last eight Segunda matchups finish with under 2.5 goals, we’re backing a similar outcome at the Estadi Montilivi.

Bet: Under 2.5 goals at Girona vs Tenerife 3/5 for Saturday’s Spanish Segunda showdown @ 888sport
