Competition: Brazil Serie A

Market: Internacional win

Odds: 3/5 @ 888sport

Two sides who find themselves battling it out at opposite ends of Brazil’s Serie A, Internacional will welcome Ceara to the Beira-Rio in the early hours of Thursday.

Starting with the hosts, although Internacional might have been disappointed to have settled for a 1-1 draw away at Cortibia over the weekend, Mano Menezes’ men should still find the mood in their camp at a red-hot high. Opening the midweek fixtures sat second in the Serie A table and cruising their way to a top-four finish this season, the Colorado should be smelling the chance to lay down a marker in the early hours of Thursday. In the midst of a 12-match unbeaten run across all formats, a run that stems all the way back to August 11th, the Reds have also continued to shine on home soil. Last seen at the Beira-Rio picking up an action-packed 4-2 victory against Goias, it should be noted that Internacional have taken 16 points from their previous six Serie A battles in front of their own supporters.

As for the visitors, last seen over the weekend putting in another toothless display as they were hit with a 1-0 loss away at Atletico GO, Ceara find themselves at the heart of a relegation scrap. Making the trip to Beira-Rio in midweek holding just a one-point buffer from slipping into the drop zone, Lucho Gonzalez’s men will know that they face a huge challenge here. Along with showing some extended issues in the final third, the Vozao are also in the midst of a seven-match unbeaten run across all formats. Likewise, with just a single victory to their name since back on August 10th, Ceara have also gained a reputation for their struggles on the road. Collecting just a single point from any of their previous four trips to the top-four contenders, we’re backing a home win on Thursday.

Bet: Internacional 3/5 to beat Ceara in Thursday’s Brazil Serie A battle @ 888sport
