Competition: League One

Market: Ipswich Town half-time/full-time

Odds: 19/20 @ 888sport

Hoping to widen their buffer in the top-two on Tuesday night, a high-flying Ipswich will welcome Port Vale to Portman Road.

Starting with the hosts, last seen over the weekend putting in another stellar display as they cruised their way to a 6-0 romp at home against Charlton, Ipswich are in the midst of a remarkable flurry. Skyrocketing their way up the League One standings, Kieran McKenna’s men now find themselves sat in pole position to clinch an automatic Championship return this season. Simply looking to widen their buffer in the top-two chase here, the former Manchester United coach has seen his side gain a string of plaudits. Marking their return from the international break with an eye-catching 2-0 win away at Derby, the mood around Portman Road appears to be at a red-hot high. In fact, on a run that is highlighted by a 4-0 victory against Wycombe earlier in the month, Ipswich are unbeaten in each of their last 12 appearances across all formats – a run that stems all the way back to February 7th.

As for the visitors, while Ipswich might be in the midst of a real League One purple patch, the same can not be said for Port Vale. Last seen over the weekend getting hit with an action-packed 3-2 defeat away at Ipswich, Darrell Clarke’s side are enduring an extended crisis. Almost sat in third-tier limbo, the Valiants have failed to win any of their last seven straight appearances and they have continued to show a string of defensive issues. With their woeful run of form highlighted by a 3-0 drumming at the hands of Accrington Stanley on April 7th, the former Bristol Rovers boss has seen his squad muster just a single League One clean sheet over the past two months. Likewise, losing each of their last six consecutive meetings against the promotion contenders, it is hard to see anything other than a routine home win on Tuesday night.

Bet: Ipswich Town half-time/full-time against Port Vale 19/20 for Tuesday’s League One matchup @ 888sport
