Competition: MLS

Market: Los Angeles FC win

Odds: 3/5 @ 888sport

Looking to make an immediate return to winning ways on Sunday night, LAFC will welcome Sporting Kansas to the Banc of California Stadium.

Starting with the hosts, eventually getting hit with an action-packed 2-1 defeat against bitter rivals LA Galaxy last weekend, there is no doubt that LAFC will be seeking an immediate response here. Still holding a one-point buffer at the top of the Western Conference, Steve Cherundolo’s men have still gained a host of plaudits from across the MLS this season. Previously enjoying a three-match win on either side of March’s international break, the Blacks have also continued to shine on home soil. With many tipping them as a leading pick in this year’s title chase, it should be noted that Los Angeles have collected 10 points from their last four matchups at the Banc of California Stadium. Bagging 14 goals on that unbeaten run, LAFC should be smelling a golden chance when they return home here.

As for the visitors, putting in another downbeat display last weekend and getting hit with a 2-1 loss at home against Nashville, Sporting Kansas find themselves in the midst of what has been a hugely worrying run of form. Still battling it out at the foot of the Western Conference, the Wizards have lost four of their last five MLS matchups, a run that stems back to March 5th. Knowing that they face a huge task when they travel to the Banc of California Stadium on Sunday night, it should also be noted that Peter Vermes’ men have continued to show a string of issues on the road. Including a 3-1 drumming away at Chicago last month, Sporting KC have lost each of their last four MLS away fixtures. Likewise, suffering a 4-0 defeat when they faced off against LAFC last season, we’re backing a similar routine home win here.

Bet: Los Angeles FC 3/5 to beat Sporting Kansas City in Sunday’s MLS showdown @ 888sport
