Competition: National League North

Market: Marine win

Odds: 8/11 @ Pribet

Looking to make it consecutive National League North victories on Wednesday night, Marine will welcome Hereford to Rossett Park.

Starting with the hosts, making a much-welcomed return to winning ways earlier in the week as they secured a 2-1 victory against Chorley, Marine will now be looking to find some essential stability. Drawing a line under their three-match losing rut on Monday night, Bobby Grant’s side will know that they can move within touching distance of the play-off places here. Despite registering consecutive National League North wins on just a single occasion so far this calendar year, the Merseyside-based outfit will be excited by their extended success on home soil. Including an action-packed 4-2 victory against Worksop on March 14th, Marine have won four of their previous five appearances in front of their own supporters. Likewise, including a stellar 5-0 romp against Leamington on February 14th, Grant’s men have suffered just a sole defeat from any of their last 11 straight matchups at Rossett Park across all competitions – a purple patch that stems all the way back to the start of December.

As for the visitors, claiming their own respective National League North boost on Monday night as they secured a thumping 3-0 victory at home against Merthyr Town, Hereford will be desperate to use that performance as a platform to build on. However, travelling to Merseyside in midweek still regarded as a standout relegation candidate, Aaron Downes’ side are seven points adrift of safety. Losing each of their other seven appearances, the Whites have also continued to show some glaring issues away from Edgar Street. Last seen on their travels getting hit with a 2-1 loss at the hands of Kidderminster, Hereford have lost all of their previous three matchups on the road by an aggregate score of 7-3. Likewise, the former Cheltenham coach has seen his squad muster just a sole win from any of their last 11 consecutive away fixtures across all competitions. With that run stemming all the way back to December 6th, Hereford have also shipped at least a pair of goals in seven of their last eight matchups on the road.
