Competition: Scottish Premiership

Odds: 3/5 @ BetUS
Simply searching for a much-welcomed Premiership boost on Wednesday night, Rangers will welcome Hibernian to Ibrox.
Starting with the hosts, while Rangers might have found themselves at the heart of a three-way Premiership title scrap just a matter of weeks ago, the Scottish giants have come crashing back down to earth in a worrying fashion. With it suggested that Danny Rohl has some serious pressure mounting on his shoulders in Glasgow, the Blues are limping their way over the finishing line and have watched their title dreams go up in smoke. Last seen over the weekend falling to a deserved 3-1 defeat away at arch-rivals Celtic, the former Sheffield Wednesday boss has seen his squad lose all of their previous three consecutive Premiership appearances and they are enduring their worst rut of 2026. Likewise, signing off April with an action-packed 3-2 loss at home against Motherwell, Rangers have shown some rather glaring defensive struggles. Including another 2-1 loss away at leaders Hearts earlier in the month, Rohl’s struggling squad have failed to register a clean sheet from their last six attempts. Likewise, Wednesday’s hosts have shipped 14 goals in those six consecutive appearances.
As for the visitors, making a welcomed return to winning ways over the weekend as they secured a deserved 3-1 victory away at Falkirk, Hibernian will travel to Glasgow on Wednesday night confident of springing an almighty upset. However, hit with consecutive 2-1 defeats against Celtic and Hearts on either side of opening May, David Gray’s side have lost each of their other three showdowns against Premiership opposition. Struggling to find any recent stability and now registering back-to-back wins since February, the Edinburgh-based outfit have also mustered just a trio of wins away from Easter Road so far this calendar year. It should also be highlighted, Hibs have notched just a sole clean sheet on their travels throughout 2026. Needing a real miracle in the race to find a route into the European spots, Wednesday’s guests travel to Glasgow pencilled in as a landslide underdog. While the midweek opponents might have a habit of producing cagey affairs, chances could come thick and fast here.
