Competition: MLS

Market: FC Dallas double chance

Odds: 19/20 @ 888sport

Looking to make it three victories on the spin in midweek, Dallas will make the trip to Seattle in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

Starting with the hosts, making an immediate return to losing ways last weekend, Seattle find themselves in the midst of an extended blip. Eventually getting hit with a 2-1 loss away at Los Angeles a few days ago, the Sounders have come tumbling down the Western Conference standings. Now sat outside the Final Series places, Head Coach Brian Schmetzer does find some growing pressure on his shoulders. In fact, on a run that is highlighted by a 3-0 drumming at home against Portland on July 9th, Seattle have lost four of their last five domestic outings. Likewise, it should also be highlighted that Seattle hold a downbeat record against Wednesday’s guests. Including a 2-0 defeat when the two sides last faced off back in May, Schmetzer’s side have won just a pair of their last eight meetings against Dallas.

As for the visitors, while Seattle find themselves enduring a worrying run of form, the mood in Dallas’ camp should be at a high. Last seen over the weekend picking up a 1-0 victory against LA Galaxy on the road, Head Coach Nico Estévez has seen his side land back-to-back MLS wins. Firmly sat in pole position to clinch a Final Series spot this season, the Burn will be smelling the chance to lay down another marker here. Likewise, losing just one of their previous six domestic contests, Dallas have also gained somewhat of a reputation for their rugged displays on the road. Suffering just a single defeat away from the Toyota Stadium in their last five outings, a run underlined by an eye-catching 1-0 victory against Real Salt Lake, an away double chance can be found at appealing odds here.
