Competition: Brazil Serie A

Market: Gremio draw no bet

Odds: 4/5 @ Pribet

Two sides who find themselves battling it out at opposite ends of the Serie A standings, Gremio will travel to the Maracana on Sunday night when they meet Vasco.

Starting with the hosts, while Vasco might have shocked many as they punched their Serie A return this season, it is no secret that Ramon Diaz’s men are tipped as a leading relegation contender this time around. Last seen putting in another worrying display as they slumped to a routine 3-1 drumming at the hands of Corinthians, the Admirals sit rock-bottom of the top-flight standings and already seven points adrift of safety. Coming under a huge amount of scrutiny this season, the Rio de Janeiro-based outfit have now lost each of their last four domestic showdowns by an aggregate score of 8-1. In fact, on what has become an infamous extended rut, Sunday’s hosts have also lost 10 of their previous 11 appearances across all formats – a run that stems all the way back to a 1-1 draw against Cortibia back on May 11th. It should also be highlighted, Vasco have claimed just a single victory at the Maracana so far this season.

As for the visitors, while Gremio might have also only made their Serie A return this season, Renato Portaluppi’s men have continued to gain a string of plaudits from across Brazil’s elite this year. Sat fourth in the standings and currently sat in pole position to claim an iconic top-four finish in 2023, the Immortal Tricolor are riding what has been a famous wave of momentum. While Sunday’s guests might have been last seen settling for a 1-1 draw at home against Goias, Gremio have lost just a pair of their previous nine straight showdowns against top-flight opposition – a run that stems back to June 11th. Hitting the ground running since returning from June’s international break, Portaluppi’s side should be smelling a chance here. Landing a 2-1 victory when they welcomed Vasco to the Arena do Gremio for a Serie B showdown last season, we are backing an away draw no bet this weekend.

Bet: Gremio draw no bet against Vasco 4/5 for Sunday’s Serie A showdown @ Pribet
