Two sides who are enduring very different success in Ireland’s top-tier, European hopefuls Bohemians will travel to the UCD Bowl on Monday night.

Starting with the hosts, while UCD may have managed to snatch a 0-0 draw away at Derry last weekend, a result that moved them off the foot of the table, the Dublin outfit still sit in pole position for the drop this season. With Head Coach Collie O’Neill now seeing his side sat 10 points adrift of safety, they have picked up just one victory since the middle of April and have lost 11 of their last 13 contests. A huge part of UCD’s continued issues has been their struggles in front of goal. Now failing to find the net in back-to-back appearances, Monday’s hosts have also remarkably scored just one goal at the UCD Bowl since the 22nd of April.

As for the visitors, after picking up a famous 1-1 draw against Premier League outfit Chelsea in Saturday’s friendly matchup, Keith Long’s side find their confidence at high. Enjoying a six-match unbeaten run across all competitions and now sat in the driving sit to occupy that final Europa League spot come October, the Bohs are also yet to taste defeat since the end of May. A huge part of Bohemians’ recent resurge has come thanks to their continued performances on the road. Aside from a 2-1 loss against runaway league leaders last month, Monday’s guests are unbeaten in their other six matches outside of Dublin.
