Bordeaux look to stretch streak

Bordeaux midfielder Ludovic Obraniak hopes that his side can maintain their unbeaten status in 2012 when they host Lyon in Ligue 1 on Sunday.

Francis Gillot’s men are without defeat in their last four league games, including a stunning 5-4 win last time out at champions Lille.

Poland international Obraniak, who moved to Stade Jacques Chaban-Delmas from Lille in the January transfer window, says Gillot has set a target of a top-five finish at the end of the season.

“We should not get carried away after a good recent spell. Lyon will be a good test for us.” Obraniak said.

“It will allow us to see what is possible for the rest of the season. We want to take revenge after our defeat against them in the (French) Cup as well – we were frustrated during that game to not play really as we wanted.”

“It will be a good opportunity to come back strongly and to get closer to the top of the league. We should definitely be more ambitious for the rest of the season.”

“This game will be different. We will want to play the same way as we have been playing lately. We are looking at each game as it comes.”
