Borussia Dortmund are set to lose key players when the winter transfer window opens due to their poor performance in the German Bundesliga. Jurgen Klopp’s side were previously bottom of the table following a run of bad results, snd such a dreadful start could see heavily coveted forward Marco Reus leave the club in January.

The German international, 25, has been linked with a move to the Premier League, with league leaders Chelsea being tipped to sign him in a part exchange deal that could see Andre Schurrle going in the opposite direction. But it’s very likely Reus could make the short trip to Bayern Munich, as former teammate Robert Lewandowski did in the summer.

Reus has a minimum fee release clause of £21M that many clubs will be interested in triggering when the window opens, and with the talented forward seeking trophies, Chelsea & Bayern are certainly in the reckoning.

Bayern have Arjen Robben and Frank Ribery both who are approaching the final years at the top level. Reus would be a good replacement, and as a result 888 Sport are giving odds of 5/2 for Reus to join Bayern in January.
