In what could prove to be a lively encounter on Friday night, Real Betis will welcome Eibar to the Estadio Benito Villamarín.

Starting with the hosts, coming off the back of a season-worst display and suffering a 5-1 hammering against Villarreal last weekend, fans around the Estadio Benito Villamarín are calling on an immediate response. With Betis watching their four-match unbeaten run come to an end on the road last time out, Head Coach Rubi still has a defensive headache on his hands. Now freefalling down to 15th after their hammering against the Yellow Submarine, Los Verdiblancos have recorded just a single clean sheet since opening the new La Liga campaign. It is also worth noting that the hosts have not recorded a clean sheet in Sevilla since the 3rd of February.

As for the visitors, while Betis might be calling on a response on Friday, Eibar will be looking to extend on their recent momentum before entering the international break. Coming off the back of a 2-0 win at home to Celta Vigo last weekend, José Luis Mendilibar’s men have now secured back-to-back wins in Spain’s top-tier, including a very impressive 3-2 win over Sevilla a fortnight ago. Despite their bright start, Eibar have continued to show some issues outside of the Estadio Municipal de Ipurúa. Yet to pick up an away victory so far this season, they have recorded just a single La Liga victory on their travels since way back in October.
