Both teams to score at Sheffield Wednesday vs Leeds 4/5 for Saturday’s Championship contest

Competition: Championship

Market: Both teams to score

Odds: 4/5 @ Bet 365

Handed the chance to leapfrog Leeds and potentially climb into the automatic positions, Sheffield Wednesday will welcome Leeds to Hillsborough on Saturday lunchtime.

Starting with the hosts, picking up a 1-0 win over Stoke in midweek, Sheffield Wednesday are enjoying quite the resurge under former Birmingham boss Gary Monk. With many around Hillsborough now dreaming of a top-six finish come next summer, the Owls are enjoying a three-match unbeaten run and have tasted defeat just once since the 31st of August. Enjoying their most successful spell in recent memory, a huge part of their recent resurge has come down to their success on home soil. Landing back-to-back victories at Hillsborough against Wigan and Stoke, there is no doubt that Monk’s men should be confident of causing another upset this weekend.

As for the visitors, while Leeds might be tipped as one of the leading contenders to end their Premier League exile come next summer, fans around Elland Road find their side enduring a sluggish rut. Needing a dramatic late equalizer to snatch a point off of Preston on Tuesday, Marcelo Bielsa’s men have won just a pair of their last six Championship matchups and have continued to show some issues outside of West Yorkshire. The Whites have failed to win any of their last three matches on their travels, a run that also saw them suffer back-to-back defeats against Charlton and Millwall.
