Handed the chance to leapfrog Seattle to third spot in the Western Conference, LA Galaxy will make the trip to CenturyLink Field on Sunday night.

Starting with the hosts, picking up a much-needed 2-1 win away at Portland last weekend, Seattle will be desperate to build off of that result. Only collecting one victory in August, a huge part of the Sounders’ continued struggles has been down to some glaring defensive issues. Recording just a single clean sheet since the end of June, Brian Schmetzer’s side have also conceded two or more goals in four of their last five contests. Fans around Washington will also have growing worries over their sides form on home soil. Seattle have failed to win any of their last three MLS matches at CenturyLink Field and have shipped eight goals in those three outings.

As for the visitors, while LA Galaxy may have been disappointed to have thrown away the lead away at LAFC last weekend, they did snatch an eye-catching point off of the runaway Eastern leaders. Handed the chance to leapfrog Seattle to third and all but confirm a play-off finish, one man to watch on Sunday will be leading marksman, Zlatan Ibrahimovic. Bagging a brace last time out, the former Manchester United striker now has six in his last three and sits second in the MLS goalscoring charts. With both sides playing out a 2-2 draw when they met in California a fortnight ago, we’re backing another lively encounter this weekend.
