Looking to build off of their eye-catching run of form, Bournemouth will make the trip to League One outfit Burton Albion on Wednesday night.

Starting with the hosts, while Burton may have enjoyed a bright start to the new League One campaign, Nigel Clough’s men have begun to show some worrying defensive issues. Shipping two dramatic late goals and slumping to a 2-1 loss away at Tranmere over the weekend, the Yellows have now failed to win any of their last three appearances and have recorded just a single third-tier victory since the 20th of August. There is no doubt that fans around the Pirelli Stadium will also have growing concerns over their sides form in Staffordshire. Burton have won just one of their last four League One matches on home soil, including back-to-back defeats against Rotherham and Ipswich.

As for the visitors, returning from the international break in some style, the mood in Bournemouth’s camp remains at a high. Climbing to sixth in the Premier League standings and looking to mount a very shocking European charge this season, Eddie Howe’s men once again caught the eye with a 3-1 win over South Coast rivals Southampton over the weekend. Also landing another 3-1 win in a season-best display against Everton a fortnight ago, Bournemouth will certainly travel to the Pirelli Stadium with their tale up. Given the Cherries’ continued success, we’re backing an away victory for the Premier League outfit in midweek.
