Justin Kluivert has been named the Premier League’s Player of the Month for January, one of a trio of awards for Bournemouth.
Andoni Iraola was named the Manager of the Month, while David Brooks scooped the Goal of the Month award for a fine volley that clinched a 1-0 win over Everton.
No player was involved in more Premier League goals in January than Kluivert (seven – five goals, two assists), as he recorded a goal involvement every 45 minutes across the month.
The Dutchman, winning the award for the first time, bagged a hat-trick against Newcastle United, while also scoring against Chelsea and Nottingham Forest to keep Bournemouth in the hunt for a European place.
That treble was his second of the campaign – he is just the seventh player to score multiple hat-tricks (two) away from home in a single Premier League season.
Overall, Kluivert has scored 11 Premier League goals this season, the most by a Dutch player across a single campaign in the competition since 2015-16 (Georginio Wijnaldum for Newcastle).
He is just the second Bournemouth player to receive the Player of the Month award, after Dominic Solanke in 2023.
Iraola was also honoured after leading the Cherries to an unbeaten January.
Bournemouth started the month by beating Everton, before a 2-2 draw with Chelsea. They followed those results up with impressive wins over Newcastle (4-1) and Forest (5-0).
The latter victory saw Bournemouth extend their unbeaten streak to 11 matches in the Premier League, their longest-ever run without defeat in the competition. It was also their biggest victory in the top flight since April 2019 (5-0 v Brighton).
It is the second time Iraola has been named Manager of the Month, after March 2024.
