Scottish striker Kris Boyd has terminated his contract with Eskisehirspor.

Boyd, 28, has only played 76 minutes of football since joining the Turkish side in the summer.

He has also started legal proceedings against the club after his agent Mark Donaghy claimed that he had not been paid any wages since signing from Middlesbrough in July.

The former Rangers player will now be allowed to join another club on a free transfer following the termination of his contract, Donaghy confirmed.

“Kris has triggered a release clause in his contract,” he told Sky Sports News.

“His contract has been terminated because of late payments and a legal process is now under way. He will now head back to the UK.”
