Bremen star hopes for dream move to Everton

Werder Bremen striker Hugo Almeida has fuelled speculation regarding a move to Everton after admitting it would be his dream to play in the Premier League.

Everton boss David Moyes is said to be keen to bolster his striking options after injuries to Yakubu, James Vaughan and Louis Saha weakened his front line and reports suggest that Almeida is top of his wish list this January.

Moyes is likely to have little to spend after record signing Marouane Fellaini joining the club for £15 million in September and will look to bring in Almeida on a loan deal with a view to a permanant switch in the summer.

Almeida told Portuguese radio station AntennaIt would be a dream for me to play in England, but i have to remain calm while negotiations take place. It is a possiblity that pleases me.”

“I am open to offers and happy that Everton are interested in my services. I have spoken on the telephone to Nuno Valente (current Everton player and former Portuguese team-mate) to find out things about the club and the impression is very impressive. Now i am in Bremen but if the offer from Everton materialises, I will have a final decision to make.”
