Brentford close to signing Celta’s Jensen

It looks like Brentford could be in for a great ride this coming season! The Bees are reportedly close to signing Mathias Jensen from Celta Vigo. The Evening Standard report that the Championship side are on the verge of completing a deal for the 23-year-old Dane in a deal that would be worth around £3.5m.

Standard also report that advanced talks are already happening and Jensen could become Brentford’s fourth summer signing. The official announcement of the contract is expected in the coming days and it looks like this could be another shrewd piece of business by Brentford. The club that has been renowned for their great scouting and developing young players could now sign a young midfielder with a great potential resale value, but also without spending too much money.

Brentford also signed Pontus Jansson among others this summer, bringing the centre-back from the potential promotion rivals Leeds United.
