Enjoying their brightest spell of the season, Lee Johnson’s Bristol City side will welcome Championship strugglers Bolton to Ashton Gate on Friday night.

Starting with the Robbins, picking up the scalp of Huddersfield in the last round and also coming off the back of a 1-0 win over Nottingham Forest over the weekend, the mood in Lee Johnson’s camp should be on a high. Winning their last five matches on the bounce and now within touching distance of climbing into the playoff positions, fans around Ashton Gate will be most impressed by their sides recent defensive stability. The Reds have now conceded just one goal in their over 450 minutes of action. Along with picking up a 2-1 win when they sides met earlier in the month, we’re backing the hosts to enjoy another successful nights work.

As for the visitors, while Bristol City might be enjoying their brightest spell of the season, the same can not be said for Phil Parkinson’s side. Coming off the back of a 2-0 loss at home to West Brom and amidst a string of off-field issues, the Trotters’ have remarkably been able to record just two victories since the end of last September. Tipped by many to be a leading contender in the Championship relegation race, their form on the road will be the biggest concern for Parkinson. The Whites have now lost their last five matches away from the University of Bolton Stadium and have not recorded an away victory in their last 13 attempts.
