Burnley 11/8 to beat Watford in Saturday’s Premier League showdown

Competition: Premier League

Market: Burnley to beat Watford

Odds: 11/8 @ Bet365

The Premier League returns for another huge round of games as the competition continues to heat up. Last weekend saw a number of incredibly interesting contests that have continued to shape the table. With this in mind, two sides that have been flying high this season are Burnley and Watford, with the former hosting the latter on Saturday.

For Burnley, this season has been a very impressive one. After 15 games they have won seven, drawn four and lost four, seeing them collect 25 points. Their last five games have not been quite so good, as they have won three times and lost twice, but they are currently level on points with Tottenham in sixth-place, which is a huge achievement in itself at this point in the season. A win on Saturday could see them leapfrog Spurs as they look to chase down an improbable European spot.

For Watford, things have been very positive this season. After 15 games they have collected 22 points, and they are just three points behind their next opponents. In their last five games, they have struggled somewhat winning and losing twice, and drawing once. The 25 goals they have scored is a very impressive return, but they have been hamstrung by their defence, conceding 26 times so far. If they are to seriously challenge for a European spot, then they must tighten up in defence. With this in mind, we are backing Burnley with odds of 11/8 from Bet365.
