Competition: League Two

Market: Bury win

Odds: 10/11 @ Bet 365

With the chance to briefly jump to the top of the League Two table, Bury will travel to the Jonny-Rocks Stadium on Tuesday night.

Starting with Tuesday’s hosts, while back to back wins last month may have had Cheltenham dreaming of a mid-table finish, the Robins slumped to a 4-2 hammering away at Mansfield over the weekend. Now sat eight points adrift of a top-half push, it will be their ongoing defensive issues giving Michael Duff the biggest headache. Along with shipping four goals when they last met Bury back in November, no side outside of the relegation zone holds a worse defensive record than Tuesday’s hosts. Desperately struggling with their consistency, Duff should be expecting another tough evening at the Jonny-Rocks Stadium.

As for the visitors, while Bury might have failed to book their spot at Wembley last week, the mood in their camp should still be at a season-high. With the chance to leapfrog Lincoln to top spot in League Two and really shore up their position in the race for automatic promotion, Ryan Lowe will be looking to extend his 11-match unbeaten run in England’s fourth-tier. Yet to taste a league defeat in 2019, one man to watch on Tuesday will be leading scorer Nicky Maynard. The former West Ham striker already has 17 goals to his name this season.
