A Kevin Zougoula hat-trick has handed Sewe a 3-1 victory over Recreativo Do Libolo in the CAF Champions League.

Zougoula opened the Ivorian club’s account in the 24th minute before Recreativo’s Sidnei dos Reis Mariano answered 10 minutes later to level the score.

But Zougoula was far from finished.

The 25-year-old striker found the back of the net again in the 39th minute to reclaim the lead for Sewe, before completing his hat-trick in first-half stoppage time to give Sewe a two-goal buffer at the break.

Sewe held on to that lead at home throughout the second half to move to the top of Group B.

In the other Group B encounter, ES Tunis defeated Cotonsport 2-0.

Youcef Belaili broke the deadlock with the first goal of the match in the 61st minute before Iheb Msakni sealed the victory with a goal in second-half stoppage time.
