Relegation-threatened Cardiff City have a make-or-break game against Newcastle this weekend which could see them go down if results go against them.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men are bottom of the Premier League, with 30 goals in 36 games. They find themselves two points adrift of safety, but could have their fate sealed if 17th-placed Sunderland win their game against Manchester United and Cardiff drop points to Newcastle in any form.
With City’s woeful away form – winning just twice on their travels all season – Newcastle are expected to end their own poor form of late which could see the Bluebirds relegated back to the Championship.
It doesn’t help knowing Newcastle beat Cardiff 2-1 when the two sides met at Cardiff City stadium in October.
As a result, Coral are giving odds of 1/25 for Cardiff to be relegated from the Premier League in their maiden season. With just one victory from their last seven games, Solskjaer’s side aren’t in the best form for their weekend clash.
