Celta Vigo welcome Ajax to the Balaídos tonight in the Europa League, and are favourites to pick up all three points to leapfrog the group leaders and seal their place at the summit at the halfway point of the group stage.
Hosts Celta are currently second in Group G with four points from two games. The Spanish La Liga side beat Panathinaikos and drew with Standard Liege. They are two points adrift of Ajax at the top, but could replace them at the summit with a win. Given they’ve beaten Barcelona at home this month, they will be confident tonight.
As for the visitors, Ajax find themselves top of Group G with six points from two games. The Dutch Eredivisie outfit beat both Panathinaikos and Standard Liege, and could go five points clear of the chasing pack if they win at Balaídos this evening. However, Celta are a hard side to beat in their own backyard which could yield a home win.
