Celtic 1/4 to beat Motherwell in Sundays Premiership matchup

Competition: Scottish Premiership

Market: Celtic to beat Motherwell

Odds: 1/4 @ Bet365

Coming off the back of an historic 3-2 victory over bitter rivals Rangers in the Old Firm derby last weekend, Brendan Rodger’s high-flying Celtic still look in pole position to pull of their second treble winning season on the bounce.

For the hosts on Sunday, it has been another season of flirting with midtable for Motherwell. For Steve Robinson’s side, The Well will know that they face another tough task at Fir Park. Without a win against the Hoops in their last nine attempts, Robinson’s side have lost eight of those matchups, and more worryingly for Motherwell, they have conceded four or more goals in four of those nine matches. While Motherwell may sit comfortably above the drop zone, they still remain some way off the top four, currently sat seventh in the SPL table, they’re now 14 points adrift of Kilmarnock and are coming off the back off a  2-0 defeat away at Hamilton.

For Brendan Rodgers Celtic side, the Hoops will be filled with confidence after taking three points off main SPL rivals Rangers at Ibrox last weekend. Moving one step closer to lifting the Scottish Premiership title once again, Rodgers side moved have now only lost two domestic games this entire season and they also boast both the best attacking and defensive record in Scotalnd’s top tier. Winning their last three SPL matches in a row, Celtic have only lost one domestic matchup since December 2017.
