Competition: Champions League
Market: Celtic to win against Hapoel Beer Sheva
Odds: 3/4 @ Bet 365

Celtic welcome Hapoel Beer Sheva to Celtic Park for the first leg of their Champions League playoff clash, and are big favourites to come out on top on home soil to take a vital aggregate lead to the second leg at Turner Stadium in six days’ time.

Celtic are currently fifth in the Scottish Premiership with three points from their only game played. The Bhoys have so far delivered on home soil in all competitions, and will fancy their chances of doing the same against Hapoel tonight as a result.

Brendan Rodgers’ side entered the Champions League qualifiers at the second round, first losing away to Lincoln Red Imps, before a convincing 3-0 home win put paid to any talk of an upset. In the third round, they drew the away leg to Astana and won at home to set up tonight’s tie with Hapoel.

Such consistent home form sees them as favourites to come out on top this evening, coupled with the European inexperience of their opposition. Hapoel beat Olympiakos in round three to make it this far, but they have never gone further in their history and have yet to win an away leg in Europe for a decade.

As a result, Bet 365 are giving odds of 3/4 for Celtic to win against Hapoel Beer Sheva this evening to put in foot in the Champions League group stages.
