Looking to book their spot at Wembley, Charlton will welcome Doncaster to the Valley on Friday night.

Starting with the hosts, putting in yet another eye-catching display in their 2-1 win away at the Keepmoat Stadium last weekend, Lee Bowyer’s side are enjoying a stellar end to the year. Now winning nine of their last 10 matches, a run that stems back to the middle of March, the Reds have remarkably lost just one of their last 16 matches, the brightest spell of any side in the play-offs. Eventually finishing the year three points adrift of securing an automatic route back to the Championship, a huge part of Charlton’s revival has been down to their continued form at the Valley. Bowyer’s side have won their last six matches in South London and have not lost a League One match on home soil since the start of October.

As for the visitors, while Charlton might be enjoying a bright end to the year, the same cannot be said about a struggling Doncaster side. Suffering that 2-1 loss at home to the Latics in midweek, Grant McCann’s side have recorded just one victory in their last five appearances. A huge part of Doncaster’s struggles has come down to their continued issues on the road. Friday’s visitors have won just one of their last 10 matches away from the Keepmoat Stadium, a run that stems back to the 6th of February. With Charlton picking up a 2-0 win when the two sides met at the Valley back in November, we’re backing a similar result on Friday night.
