Chelsea’s chances of finishing inside the top five in the Premier League this season – and consequently qualifying for the Champions League – took a big hit on Saturday when they lost at home against Manchester United, one of the rivals in that race.
Chelsea had 60% possession and took a total of 20 shots in that game, compared to United’s four, but the two teams managed to hit the target once apiece. Unfortunately for Liam Rosenior’s side, that one shot goalkeeper Robert Sanchez faced ended in the back of the net, with Matheus Cunha scoring the only goal of the game and settling its outcome.
Needless to say, Rosenior was frustrated after the match.
“The goal today, they’ve had one shot on target in the game. I can’t remember another chance they’ve had.” 😐
