Chelsea are interested in signing Liam Delap from Premier League rivals Ipswich Town in the summer transfer window, according to TBR. The report has claimed that the Blues have long been keeping tabs on the former Manchester City prospect and are ready to make an offer of £50 million including add-ons.
Delap has been on the books of Ipswich since the summer of 2024 when he joined from Man City. The Tractor Boys paid £20 million in transfer fees for the 22-year-old striker, who has been in fine form this season. The Englishman has scored 10 goals and given two assists in 30 matches in all competitions for Ipswich.
Chelsea are fourth in the Premier League table at the moment with 48 points from 28 matches, two points behind third-placed Nottingham Forest and two points ahead of fifth-placed and defending champions Manchester City. Meanwhile, Ipswich currently find themselves third from bottom in the league table wtith 17 points from 28 matches, six points behind 17th-placed Wolverhampton Wanderers.
