(GSM) – Chelsea have completed the signing of Liverpool’s midfielder Yossi Benayoun. The Israel captain signs with the North London club on a three-year deal, Reuters has confirmed.

The player has quickly expressed his excitement after signing for the club and hoping that the team will be successful.

“I am very excited to come to a club like Chelsea, it is a big club and I think it is a dream for every player. Hopefully we will be successful,” the Israeli international said.

Meanwhile Chelsea manager Carlo Ancelotti has revealed his admiration for Benayoun’s abilities, predicting that the midfielder will do a “great job” next season.

Chelsea manager Carlo Ancelotti said: “Yossi has a lot of quality in midfield and can play in lots of positions. I like his behaviour on the pitch and he will do a great job for us next season.”

The former Racing Santander and West Ham United player was reportedly unhappy due to the lack of silverware at Anfield following a disappointing campaign which saw the Reds fail to finish in a Champions League position.
