Chelsea to enter De Zerbi race?

According to The Guardian, Chelsea have put two names down as potential candidates to replace Mauricio Pochettino, should they decide to part ways with the Argentinian at the end of the season. Those names are Sporting Lisbon head coach Ruben Amorim, and Brighton and Hove Albion manager Roberto De Zerbi.

The Chelsea hierarchy haven’t yet made their minds up about Pochettino. Despite his team currently sitting 11th in the Premier League table – clearly an unacceptable position given the amount of money spent on reinforcements over the last couple of transfer windows, they are willing, for the time being, to give the 52-year-old a chance to turn the team’s fortunes around.

De Zerbi has been linked with the likes of Liverpool and Barcelona, and having seen his predecessor at Brighton Graham Potter fail spectacularly at Chelsea, it would be interesting to see if he’s ready to take the road from the Amex to Stamford Bridge himself.
