Competition: US Open Cup

Market: Chicago Fire win and both teams to score

Odds: 15/8 @ Bet 365

Looking to put their MLS struggles aside, Chicago Fire will welcome lower league Louisville to Toyota Park in Thursdays US Open Cup quarterfinal.

Starting with The Fire, although Chicago are coming off the back of 3-1 loss to FC Dallas and have now lost their last three on the bounce, Veljko Paunović’s side will be confident of booking their spot in the semi-finals. Arguably with the easiest matchup of the quarters, The Reds will be looking for striker Aleksandar Katai to carry on his impressive form. The 27-year-old has now netted six in his last eight. However, while we believe The Fire will book their spot in the next round, they have conceded 10 in their last three and we feel they will struggle to keep a clean sheet.

As for USL side Louisville, despite a stellar start to the season saw them sitting atop of Eastern Conference and collect the scalp of MLS side New England Revolution on their path to the quarterfinals, the visitors have recently begun to stumble. Coming off the back of a 2-1 loss to Charleston Battery last week, they have now dropped down to fourth in the table and have picked up just one in their last five. It will also be their defensive issues that will be a huge cause for concern, Louisville have now failed to keep a clean sheet in their last seven.
