City to offer De Rossi €9 million per season; Porto break the bank to sign Danilo

City to offer De Rossi €9 million per season

Manchester City will try to lure Roma midfielder Daniele De Rossi to Eastlands by offering him €9 million per season.

Roberto Mancini has already shown interest in the Italy international and he is eager to launch a new assault on the player before he signs a new contract with Roma.

De Rossi has one year left on his contract at Olimpico and he has yet to agree a contract extension.

New boss Luis Enrique has assured the midfielder that he is integral to Roma plans, but the club officials have yet to persuade the player into signing a new deal.

De Rossi is reportedly looking for a new challenge and he is currently a target for Real Madrid and Manchester City.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Manchester City have offered the Italy international a deal worth €9 million per season, thus moving to the top of the queue.

The atmosphere at the club is far from impressive as Francesco Totti is angry with the club chiefs after finding out that he is no longer considered a key player in the squad, and the new developments could push his good friend De Rossi closer to the exit door.

Porto break the bank to sign Danilo

Porto have completed the signing of full-back Danilo Luiz da Silva from Santos, the Portuguese club have revealed.

The Dragons informed the Portuguese stock market that they have signed Brazilian defender Danilo for the fee of €13 million.

The length of the player’s contract was not disclosed, but it is believed that he will sign a five-year deal at Dragao Stadium.

“Porto come to inform that it has reached an agreement with Santos for the acquisition of the sporting rights of athlete Danilo Luiz da Silva. This agreement sees the payment of a fee of €13m,” read the statement on the Portuguese stock market website.

The negotiations with Santos lasted several days before the agreement was reached, although a heavy interest from Benfica threatened to scupper the deal.

Porto eventually decided to break the bank for the 20-year-old, who is considered one of the most exciting prospects in South America.

Brazil Under-20 international can cover the right hand side in both defence and midfield, but is expected to play right-back at Porto.

Galatasaray complete Muslera signing

Turkish giants Galatasaray have announced the signing of keeper Fernando Muslera from Montevideo Wanderers on their official website.

After several weeks of negotiations, the Turkish club reached an agreement to sign the keeper who spent last four seasons playing for Lazio.

The player has agreed a five-year deal with Galatasaray worth €2 million per season.

The Lions have agreed to pay Montevideo Wanderers, the club that still hold the player’s rights, €6.75 million.

“Professional football player Nestor Fernando Muslera, according to agreement between the company, signed the five-year contract starting with the 2011-2012 season. Accordingly, €2 million will be paid to him for every season,” the statement on club’s official website read.

“In addition, our club agreed to a payment of the amount of 6,750,000 euros over three years to Football Club Montevideo Wanderers in exchange for the transfer of federative rights of the player.”

Galatasaray have thus secured the sixth signing of the transfer window, having previously signed Tomas Ujfalusi, Selcuk Inan, Ceyhun Gulselam, Johan Elmander and Okan Derici.
