A number of clubs are chasing the signature of Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Marco Verratti, according to the player’s representative.

The 20-year-old made 27 Ligue 1 appearances in his debut season in the French capital, helping PSG to end their 19-year wait for a top flight title.

The Italy international’s form throughout the 2012-13 campaign has once again alerted many across Europe to his talents but, while Donato Di Campli has revealed his client is wanted, he insists Verratti is content at the Parc des Princes.

“He wants to stay in Paris and be treated like all the other players,” Di Campli told Le10Sport.

“Of course, if he were to leave, then he’d be spoilt for choice. Clubs are lining up ready to pay any sum in order to sign him.”

Verratti joined PSG on a five-year contract from then-Serie A side Pescara in August 2012.

He has since gone on to earn three caps with the Italian senior side, and has scored one goal at international level.
