Competition: Scottish League Two

Market: Clyde win

Odds: 1/2 @ Bet 365

Looking to gain some revenge for their 2-1 loss away at Elgin earlier in the month, Clyde will host Gavin Price’s side on Tuesday night.

Starting with the hosts, while any chance of a push for automatic promotion might be off the table this season, Clyde will fancy their chances in the playoffs. Coming off the back of a 3-1 win at home to Stirling Albion over the weekend, it will be their form at Broadwood Stadium most impressing Danny Lennon. Tuesday’s hosts have lost just one home match since the middle of October. One man to watch in midweek will be leading goalscorer and former Blackburn striker David Goodwillie. The 29-year-old has 13 goals for the season and has also bagged four in his last six League Two appearances.

As for the visitors, while Elgin’s 2-1 win over Clyde may have been a highlight of their season, they have seen any chance of a playoff push appear to be off the table. Now sat 16 points adrift of a top-five push, it will undoubtedly be their on-going defensive issues giving Gavin Price the biggest headache. Despite being sat in the middle of the table, Elgin hold the third worse defensive record in the fourth-tier and are also coming off the back of two consecutive defeats on their travels. Given the gulf in class between the two sides, we’re backing a home victory on Tuesday.
