Looking to make a return to winning ways in the early hours of Thursday morning, Colorado will welcome Dallas to Dick’s Sporting Goods Park.

Starting with the hosts, after putting in what was an eye-catching display last weekend, there is no doubt that Colorado would have been disappointed to have only collected a single point. Dominating large spells when they welcomed San Jose to Dick’s Sporting Goods Park on Sunday, The Rapids eventually had to settle for a 1-1 draw. However, tipped as a landslide pick with many to land another Final Series spot this season, Robin Fraser’s side have lost just a pair of their last 10 MLS matchups, a run that stems back to the end of April. Knowing that they hold a golden chance in the early hours of Thursday, Colorado should be boosted by their continued success on home soil. Despite having to settle for a point last time out against The Earthquakes, the midweek hosts are unbeaten in each of their last six straight home contests.

As for the visitors, while Dallas might have stunned many as they picked up that 2-1 victory away at New England when drawing a close to June, it appears that was just a minor boost for The Toros. Left with more heartbreak over the weekend as they were eventually hit with a late 1-0 defeat away at Portland, Luchi Gonzalez’s side find themselves sat rock-bottom of the Western Conference. Failing to keep up the momentum after landing a Final Series spot last season, the Texas-based outfit know that they will face another stern test when they travel to Colorado in midweek. Suffering back-to-back MLS defeats and with just a single victory to their name in any of their last 10 straight contests, we’re backing what should be another home victory at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park this week.
