Monterrey cruised into the CONCACAF Champions League semi-finals after completing a 7-2 aggregate win over Morelia.

Victor Manuel Vucetich’s men carried a 3-1 lead into the second leg at Estadio Tecnologico and completed their dominance with a 4-1 home win over fellow Mexican side Morelia on Tuesday.

The defending champions will face either countrymen Club Universidad Nacional or El Salvador’s Isidro Metapan in the last four.

Taking the strong advantage into the second leg, Monterrey all but ended the tie when Chilean striker Humberto Suazo netted from the penalty spot just before half-time.

Luis Perez also struck from the spot on the hour-mark, before Suazo completed his brace to make it 3-0.

The visitors pulled a goal back through Angel Sepulveda’s penalty – the third of the encounter – before Walter Ayovi netted for Monterrey as they eased to a crushing win.
