Ronaldinho helped Flamengo reach the second round of the Copa Libertadores with an inspired performance in their 2-0 win over Real Potosi.

The former World Player of the Year scored one goal and set up another as Flamengo overturned a first-leg deficit to score a 3-2 aggregate victory.

After wasting several good chances in the first half, Flamengo eventually broke through two minutes before the break.

Ronaldinho was the man to create the goal, picking out Leo Moura with an incisive free kick, which the defender nodded home.

Although leading on away goals, Flamengo would not have felt safe, particularly when Edgardo Brittes went close with a header for Potosi.

But Ronaldinho sealed the matter with a goal in second half injury time to ensure Flamengo’s spot in the group stage.

Elsewhere, Internacional booked their passage to the next round after their draw away to Once Caldas gave them a 3-2 aggregate win.

Trailing 1-0 after the first leg in Brazil, Once were ahead almost immediately in the return leg in Colombia when Jorge Nunez converted from the penalty spot after just three minutes.

Andres D’Alessandro got Inter back on level terms just nine minutes later though, and when Tinga netted on 22 minutes, the visitors looked safely through to the next round.

But Mario Gonzalez completed an astonishing opening period with an equaliser for Once three minutes later.

However, despite their home fans cheering them on at the Estadio Palogrande, the Colombians could not find the back of the net again as they were dumped out of the competition.

Inter’s aggregate win means they find themselves in Group 1 for the second round of the competition, drawn alongside reigning champions Santos, Juan Aurich and The Strongest.
